Measures of Central Tendency
- Mean: The average of all values (sum รท count)
- Median: The middle value when data is sorted
- Mode: The most frequently occurring value(s)
Measures of Variability
- Range: Difference between maximum and minimum values
- Variance: Average of squared differences from the mean
- Standard Deviation: Square root of variance
- IQR: Interquartile range (Q3 - Q1)
Population vs Sample
Population: Uses the entire dataset (divides by N for variance)
Sample: Uses a subset to estimate population parameters (divides by N-1 for variance)
